We at TheDailyGrudge are especially grateful this Thanksgiving. On Tuesday, our New York City apartment — along with those of our neighbors –was destroyed in a devastating fire. Miraculously, all of the residents and their beloved pets made it out safely. We cannot begin to thank the firefighters, first-responders, neighbors and friends for their bravery and concern for our safety and well-being. It is truly humbling and typical of the New Yorkers I know, who are among the loveliest people to call true friends. We lost all of our personal belongings but we recognize the gift of escaping unharmed, something that, sadly, not everyone does.
As you gather for small, Covid-friendly celebrations, feel free to share photos your loved ones (pets too!!) when celebrating Thanksgiving. It would certainly add cheer to a very difficult week.
